Pair of Large Georgian Style Leather Armchairs
Very handsome pair of large late 20th. Georgian style leather armchairs. Ideal as desk chairs or as carver dining chairs. Shaped button upholstered backrests and generously proportioned seats (20 width between the arm supports) in good quality oxblood red leather with brass studwork. Sturdy solid mahogany frames with gracefully shaped arms and moulded square section front legs. Slight differences in the colour of the leather. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Dimensions: width 26, depth 27, height 42. Alternatively you are welcome to view and collect items from our large warehouse showroom in Llandudno Junction, North Wales (we are approximately 45 mins from Chester). This is an impressive pair of large Japanese Satsuma vases in perfect condition dating from the late Meiji period, circa 1870. The imposing vases are expertly hand painted with Immortals and Samurai entwined by large mythical dragons in the familiar Satsuma palette. The vases both are clearly signed in a lozenge stamp to the bases. The vases are a good size measuring 33 cms high by in 19 cms in diameter and are in excellent original order with no damage or restoration. Or you are most welcome to call and collect. Splendid pair Perspex or similar early plastic Art Deco handles with chromed straps and pillars. For a door or large chest of drawers. They measure 150 mm across, 6 inches. Weight; the pair weighs 266 grams. Beautiful handles in good condition with some general wear; see photos. Most of my prices are firm and haggle free.
