Pair of gilt bronze sconces decorated with a putti each ; beautiful cherub. These are dated from the 19th century, supporting a stylized light arm decorated with foliage and gadroons encircling the binet on an upright draped at the upper and lower ends. The rosettes are certified in a cartouche on a background worked in relief in an environment of small garlands. The little cherub wishes to want to step onto a magnificent medallion surrounded by pearls. The carvings and gilding are of an extreme quality. This model of light arms are rare, it adorned imperial residences, castles and other manors. Length of cherub : 17 cm. Length of plate : 30 cm. Weigth : 2,500 kg. A pair of large hand painted Marbro mid century modern porcelain baluster lamps. These elegant lamps are beautifully hand painted with various kinds of flowers and leaves. The yellow floral and leaves design are set on a white ground accented with black detail. These tall magnificent lamps would add a touch of grandeur to your home. Each lamp contains the original Marbro label as shown in photos. Each lamp weigh 10 pounds and measures 39 inches to the finial, 20 inches porcelain and 8 inches in diameter. Marbro lamps are treasured by the rich and famous and collectors alike. Th e Marbro Lamp Company was established by Morris Markoff and his brother after World War II. Their first shop opened soon after the end of the war, located in the garment district of Los Angeles. They specialized in a wide selection of antiques and decorative arts accessories, but are best known for their lamps. The lamps use parts sourced from all over the world, however, and were assembled in their shop. Production continued under Masco until December of 1990 when the assembly plant in Los Angeles was closed. All the remaining inventory of Marbro lamps moved to another company, LaBarge Mirrors in Michigan, which was also owned by Masco… Lamp shades are not included. Pair of 19th Century Antique HUGE Louis XV style candelabras circa 1890 or just before. 7 « High X 16 » Wide. The base measures 9 X 8 inches. With candles they can measure 36 high. The entirety of them are sculpted bronze in the most fabulous scrolls , branches and greatly detailed swirls in the rococo manor. As you see in picture 1 , the bronze center flames can be removed and the 7th candle placed there. So you can set your table with 12 or 14 candles. Most amazingly, and the reason we acquired them is the rare imposing size , as well as the fact that every single original piece is still together after 130 years. They are rather fabulous for a very festive occasion. Their size makes them imposing and they are in excellent state. The gilt bronze (bronze doré) is original and has withstood the test of time while still having some patina showing their great pedigree. Pics of underside on request. All of the suite is made in English light mahogany and finished with a brass trim and fittings, this pair are in exquisite condition throughout. Height:- 90.5cm. Depth:- 46.5cm.
