Wooden / Oak Antique Picture Frame Carved Detail with Wood Slip. Fabulous antique wooden picture frames. Victorian period, have wonderful styling typical of this era with beautiful carved detailing to the frame and its original inner border which can easily removed if you would prefer (creating a larger space for your artwork). The frame is made from oak with rich and deep brown tones that really show off the lovely old wood grain, it has not been cleaned so wood colour will come up even more when it is. Gold Liner is lose but held in with bedy tabs(remember if you use gold liners it will reduce your picture size as it sits in front of it). Corners have opened slightly but normal for frames of this age and still strong and sturdy. It is in good condition with light marks, faint paint marks, some discoloration, wear. The Gothic style carving features two impressive fantastic animals: exquisite chimera or griffin. The carving is very detailed.
