Today we are pleased to offer for sale a fabulous pair of antique French Rococo candelabrum! This ornate pair of candelabra is beautifully crafted and detailed. The set is done in the opulent and ornate Louis XV Rococo style. Each candelabra is made of white brass with gilt-plate ormolu finish. The pieces have extensive rocaille decorations with beautifully swirled arms and candle cups, with foliate bobeches. The upper part with 4 lights is removable from base, which can be used a single light candlestick. Some of the elements are stamped “DD”. The candelabra are heavy (each 7lbs) and will look stunning gracing a dining table, dining room sideboard, console, or anywhere where you need regal opulence! The pair presents well and is in good antique condition, with display wear and patina commensurate with age and use. There is tarnishing and minor oxidation, along with scattered scuffing and losses to plated finish. Each candelabra lacks a drip pan for top candle cup. There is wax residue in each candle cup. Although identical in design and visually appearing to be a matching pair, one urn actually measures slightly smaller than the other. Namely, one measures 29.5 inches tall x 23 inches in diameter while the other measures 30 inches tall x 23.5 inches in diameter. The base on both is 12″ wide x 12″ deep. There is aging consistent with being very old which I have attempted to capture in the photographs. The estate had numerous exceptional cast iron urns prominently positioned on the property. Hello, you are viewing my listing for a LARGE Antique Pair of Chinese Polychrome Wood Doors with Colorful Engraved Dragons and other Detailed Patterns throughout. These are Magnificent Wood Carved Doors that may have come from a Temple Structure. Each wood door panel weighs approx. 23.4 pounds and measures approx. 81″ tall by 1 and 3/4″ thick by 14 wide. Both doors have wires attached to the back side in case you would like to hang them on a wall. There is some minor wear present to each including some light chips and some minor naturally occurring splits to the wood. There are no breaks or repairs. The details and colors throughout are stunning. These doors would bring attention to any room that they are placed. Please view all my photographs for further details. This pair of large plates are decorated with in spectacular luxurious thousand flowers style chrysanthemum flowers and delicately painted butterflies. Chrysanthemum flowers were statues symbols, could only be used by the royal family or people with high status in the old Japan. Its rare to see Satsuma plates in such a big size because how delicate and hard the hand painted patterns are. Makers mark on the bottom. Size: 9.75 (about 25CM) in diameter.
