Antique hand painted Pair Meissen Germany Hand painted vase made from white. Porcelain and hand painted Red Dragons around. Vases is very beautiful and very unique very hard to found pair like this one. Vases is 14 1/4in height (note: One vase little higher). Both vase is 5 1/4in diameter on the bottom. Top is 5 1/4in on diameter. Blue Meissen marks is on both cases on the bottom under the glaze. One small chip on the bottom on one vase Please see pictures. Offered for your consideration this great pair of large silverplate altar candlesticks circa 1900 now converted to electric lamps with beautiful venetian silk dupioni serpentine shades. Traditional styling with religious icons on the tripod base. Uses 110-120 volt household electric and up to 60 watt candleabra bulbs. New electric wiring with on-off roller switch. I have a large 40 watt candleabra bulb in the first photo. Silver hallmarks for Chile year 1900. I have had this pair for several years now and they hardly tarnish. Good used condition for their age! Old & large pair of Limoges porcelain vases. Urn-shaped vases in the style of the Empire. Blue background decorated in its center with large biscuit cabochons in the manner of Wedgwood. On each side, a cartridge representing scenes in the antique. I’ve noticed that antique dealers like to use the word monumental quite often. Well, in this case it is an appropriate adjective for these matching pair of swag finials. Wish I could have seen the staircase I assume from a staircase? From which these two came. Beautifully restored and in excellent condition. Overall approximately 20″ H x 8″ W x 8 D. Circa 1880 I would estimate. We have put some green felt on the bottoms to complete the restoration. Would be wonderful on a table, either end of a fireplace, or?????? Unlikely you will ever find a more unique size and style matching pair of architectural finials. A word about condition. Those of you who have. All 100% natural pink quartz. No dyes or reconstituted stone (mixed materials). Made in Beijing with semi-precious stone. The base is old. Is a 2-paneled detailed design with Gilt. The tree is older.
