DESIGN: A large and striking pair of finely figured solid Italian Alabaster Marble Neo Classic Doric column Modern styled pedestal table lamps circa 1950’s. The striking Neo Classic column pedestal profile combined with the subtle Modern styling details creates a profound visual statement, all expertly crafted and assembled. CONDITION : These impressive lamps are in exceptional original condition, completely intact and fully functional. Very light signs of wear and age with no obvious damage aside from a few tiny edge nicks/chips to the bottom platform corners. Original 3-way sockets and power cords have been updated and are clean, safe and completely functional. The Off White colored Linen shades are contemporary replacements of the originals and provide a classic profile while bathing the columns with an ideal ambience. Pair of antique bronze wall sconces, 3 rd Empire. This is a nice PAIR of antique gilt bronze wall sconces. Each decorated with 3 scrolled arms, ending in Bacchus mask, totally in the French Empire taste and period. Very heavy bronze casting, excellent hand chiseling, original gold plated. High quality detail, heavy pieces. 2 tones gold plated (shiny and matte). Please see photos carefully to admire the beauty of the work. H : 12 inches (30 cm). W : 18 1/2 inches (47 cm) (from handle to handle). D : 12 inches (30 cm) maximum depth (from wall). Weight : 9.5 lbs (each), 4.25 kgs (each). The heavy weight reflects the thickness of the bronze and the authenticity of the work. Old restoration to one arm in one sconce. 2 arms in the other scone needs to be restore. Not wired, needs to be electrified. Original gold gilding, with minor oxidation consistent with age and use. This pair needs some work, once done professionally, I believe it will worth few thousand dollars, it is a high quality bronze ormolu, and large pair of wall sconces.
