2- Exceptionally rare candle powered brass antique carriage lanterns. These beautiful lanterns are in very good condition and is quite stunning. They probably dates to the mid to late 1,800’s and there are no found maker marks on the lanterns. They have use wear of finish as is to be expected, one lantern has a slightly off skew bend on the top of the main unit that makes the topper lean a bit forward (see pix). Should be easily able to be realigned but I didn’t want to attempt it. The Eagle finial are original and in tact. Glass panels look all original and are also in tact. The door opens and clasps as they should. These lanterns are quite large. 9.5 main section. 9.5 base pole. 8 width of main section.
