The charming figurine is adorned with lots of colorful flowers and gilded pattern at the base. The boy is playing a flute. The craftsmanship is exquisite. The faces of the girl and the boy are so artfully hand painted, they look alive. The figurine features the blue hallmark of UNTERWEISSBACH Germany. Marked by the Aelteste Volkstedter factory in Volkstedt. This particular mark was introduced ca. 1900 the book ref. The figurine also features impressed in porcelain number 8857. The figurine is as seen in the photos. The figurine measures approx. 6.6″ tall, 8.75″ long and 4.75 wide at the bottom. Figurine is in very good condition. Amazingly, all fingers are intact. Only lace of the skirt has some damage as usual for this type of figurines, some original flowers on the skirt have been replaced, please see the pictures. Displays nicely despite some imperfections.
