Very Rare Superb Pair Vintage Art Nouveau Table Lamps w. Gracious Dancing Ladies

Very Rare, Superb Pair Antique Art Nouveau Heavy Spelter Cast Metal Lamps w Dancing Ladies and cherubs. Each standing figure represents a beutiful young lady with arms half raised, feet suggestive for a rythic mouvement and splendid body posture, with strong neck and shoulders to follow the music. Dresses are silk light and flowing in the air, folding on the body but showing nice nude chest, legs and arms. The girls are supporting the lamps on their heads (one of the filigree candle base is half missing) and they are standing on a magnificent richly adorned with double garland embossed base where four cherubs are hiding and having fun playing mandolin, see pictures. They are mounted on a plain circular black base, but all this composition has a nice bronze patina and full of detailed ornate elements. Large Antique Pair of Porcelain Figurine VOLKSTEDT Germany Height 32cm. A large antique pair of unglazed matte porcelain attracts with soft plastic modeling and painting in delicate shades of light pink, lilac, yellow, green and blue, which constitute the main flavor of the Rococo era. Age – second half of the 19th century. There are technological cracks in the base of the young man’s figurine and a small one in the lady’s. Micro-chip on the cap and gluing of the little finger of a young man. Such large figures were mainly produced by VOLKSTEDT (Volkstedt, Thuringia, Germany), as well as by French manufactories of the 18th-19th centuries, incl. “Old Paris”, 70% of which had no mark at all, despite the fact that they were one of the best in Europe. Very Large Pair Antique Meissen Porcelain Gentleman and Lady – On Lamp Bases. Significantly larger than most Meissen figures. These are very fine and detailed – see photos. Only flaw I can see is that it appears a small bouquet of flowers is missing in man’s hand. I have not attempted to remove the lamp bases. They appear to be bronze. If they did not come this way originally then they were certainly done professionally. But if you do not want them as lamps the lamp rods could be easily removed. Dimensions of figures only (not lamps) – 19.75 tall x 9.75 wide x 7.25 deep.
