Pair Large Antique Venetian Rare Black 5 Layer Chevron Glass African Trade Beads

Up for your consideration is this pair of rare antique Venetian made chevron trade beads. These are rare “Madder red/Black” chevrons, and each bead consists of 5 layers. They appear black at first glance, but in strong light the true wine color of them shows. Each bead measures approximately 29-33mm hole to hole, by 18-19mm wide. These beads are in overall good antique condition with typical expected surface wear from age and use, and retain their original faceted grinds on the ends. PAIR LARGE ANTIQUE 19th C BLACK FOREST CARVED OAK WALL CLOCK BRACKET SHELVES

Stunning pair of antique hand carved solid Oak bracket shelves. Dating to the early 19th century, possibly earlier, finely carved with an attractive’fruit bowl’ decoration with a central pineapple surrounded by figs and grapes with other fruit and foliage. Above the foliage, there is an unusual four point star shape which maybe has some significant meaning although I cannot be sure of this. Dimensions – Each shelf – 45cm height x 33.5cm width across shelf x 30cm depth from wall / Weight 6.6kg. In overall good antique condition with some expected rubbing and wear. There has been some damage and repair at the top of the fruit decoration of each one as shown. One of them has a small loss to the end of a leaf decoration behind the fruit. This is not noticeable once the shelf is hanging in place. There are two good sized mount holes on the back. Beautifully carved in fine detail, these impressive shelves would make a splendid addition to any home decor. The items I sell are in a used antique or vintage condition. A pair of large antique Staffordshire pottery Victorian cat mantle figures with a Jackfield black glaze and glass eyes. These are original 19th century figures not the later Sadler copies. The cats are just under 13 inches tall, and are a true left/right pair. They are both in excellent condition with no chips, no cracks, no repairs, just some light scratches and wear. The glaze is thin around the bottom of one figure – it was made this way. Each figure has a small vent hole on the bottom and 2 small vent holes on the back. French 1970 Neoclassic Modernist Pair Of Table Lamps In Black Onyx With Gilded O

Beautiful, imposing and elegant pair of table lamps, created in Paris France, back in the 1970’s. They are designed with neo-classical shapes in the French style of the Napoleon III period. It is displayed on a triangular base with chamfered corners and the main shaft follows the lines of a triangular obelisk with the same chamfer pattern. Mounted with highly polished carvings of natural black onyx on 24 karat ormolu gilded pieces. The golden ormolu base is decorated with three clawed lion paws. The lamps are heavy and big, each one have a weight of 35 pounds and just the onyx base have a measurements of 216 mm by 216 mm by 470 mm (8.5 x 8.5 x 18.5 Inches) plus an extra 10.5 inches for the vastague pole. Although the style is a French neoclassical, it can also have modernist influences and almost retro or federal style. It is imposing and with a great eye appeal. They are both stamped with markings on top, 2-2, 8-8. They are in great vintage condition, has been recently rewired and tested for working condition.
