Large Pair Authentic Antique Limoges or Dresden Porcelain & Bronze Table Lamps. You are viewing a beautiful pair of hand painted lamps. They are probably Limoges or Dresden. On one side is a lovely floral design and on the other is a pair of figures that look like ancient Greek or Roman intaglios. We do not know the maker as the lamps have not been taken apart to look marks. They each measure about 20-3/4 inches to the top of the socket. They are in very good antique condition with no chips, cracks, damage or repairs. The lamps have some very light wear to the gold trim but you have to really look to see it. The male figurine on the left has repairs to the nose, head, and right hand as noted in photos. The female figurine on the right is in excellent condition with no chips or prior repairs. This beautiful large antique / vintage. Ain lace figurine is of a couple playing chess. The figurine measures approximately 9 3/4 inches across, 6 1/2 inches high and 6 1/2 inches from front to back and is solid and heavy. As can be seen in the pictures, there are no cracks or nicks, all fingers and flowers are intact; there are some nibbles to the lace. On the base is the Dresden backstamp and the wording “Made in Germany”. This figurine is a magnificent display from the early-mid 1900’s. There is no original box. Quality in the finest Meissen/Dresden tradition. Handpainted with floral and gold designs. Unsigned except for the number 6072 in red on the bottom of the base. These were designed to be lamps and have precast holes on the back of the base for shade pole and wiring. The Figurines are not attached to the base so they may be displayed on a base or alone.
